Eggo Waffles are synonymous with our childhoods. They’ve been around since 1953. Originally called “Froffles”, the name was changed to “Eggo” in 1955 after much feedback about their waffles having an ‘eggy’ taste. The Kellog Company bought the brand in 1968 and introduced the “L’eggo my Eggo” slogan.
Eggo Waffles aren’t slowing down anytime soon. In 2009, there was a huge demand for Eggos due to two of their factories closing because of flooding and maintenance.
